French toast

French toast is such a classic sweet treat for breakfast or tea time. The following recipe is just straightforward and easy. Basically you just need bread, eggs and milk. 

Cooking time:

20 minutes

Ingredients(Serves 2):

Sliced bread 4 pcs

Eggs 2 pcs

Sugar 2 tbsp

Milk 40 ml

Cinnamon powder 0.5 tsp

Vanilla extract 1 tsp

Salt  a pinch

Butter 20 g

Honey 

How-to-make:

  1. Combine eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon powder and salt in a bowl, whisk well

  2. Dip sliced bread into the egg mixture, ensure the bread soaks enough egg mixture on both sides

  3. Put half of the butter in a frying pan on a medium heat. Once the butter melts and is hot enough (not burnt!), add the bread slice, pan-fry for around 3 minutes until browned, then flip to another side for pan-frying until golden brown

  4. Repeat step 3 for the rest of the sliced bread

  5. To serve, add butter and honey to your liking
